I was listening to Mike Francesa today and a caller asked a baseball trivia question: Who are the four knuckleball pitchers in the Hall of Fame? Both Francesa and I thought of Hoyt Wilhelm and Phil Niekro and were stumped on the other two, who were Ted Lyons and Jesse Haines, who toiled a century ago.

Francesa wondered if the latter two were "pure" knuckleballers. They are categorized historically as pitchers whose careers were "highlighted by the knuckleball pitch". Lyons is the only pitcher in the Hall who walked more batters than he struck out.
