1972 was clearly a year in which the card creator got carried away with interceptions. NFL average interception 5.3%, compared to 6.5% on multiple Strat computer replays. Some QBs (Hadl, Plunkett, Namath, Morton) throw over 30 ints consistently, while others with less passing attempts throw twice as many as they did in real life. One thing you'll notice on each of these QBs cards are automatic interceptions along with regular interception die rolls on Short Passes, Long Passes, and some, even on Flat Passes. This is the problem. If you disregard these readings, you will get much more accurate interception numbers.
